Richland Court Water Storage Tank Replacement

Van Cleef provided grant funding, design, PADEP permitting, COSTARS procurement, construction administration, and grant reimbursement management for replacement of the Richland Township Water Authority’s aging Richland Court water storage tank. The project removed the existing approximately 150,000-gallon tank and constructed a new 164,558-gallon glass-fused-to-steel bolted tank on a reinforced concrete foundation. Related improvements included new yard piping and valves, updated inlet, outlet, overflow, drain, vent, and access appurtenances, protected ladder and platform systems, site work, and final restoration. Van Cleef obtained the required PADEP Community Public Water Supply Permit and coordinated the work with the Authority, LB Industries, Inc., and Mid-Atlantic Storage Systems, Inc. The replacement was completed in 2026 through the PA COSTARS program and under the available project budget. The new tank increases usable storage, improves corrosion resistance and maintainability, and provides a durable long-term asset supporting system pressure, peak demand, emergency reserve, and fire-flow needs for the customers served by the Authority.
