Van Cleef was contracted to perform services throughout many different phases of the Silk Mill Project. The project involved Phase I of a large-scale development located on a site consisting of five existing tracts of land. The scope of work covers lot consolidation and subdivision plans, design and approval of infrastructure improvements, permitting, and site development, in accordance with the Uniform Planned Community Act (UPCA) of Pennsylvania.
Van Cleef was responsible for coordinating design elements related to infrastructure improvements, building demolition, and stabilization, as well as assisting with the permitting process. Additionally, the firm was tasked with providing construction cost estimation, bid preparation, and consultation during construction. Throughout the project, Van Cleef overcame various challenges such as coordination between multiple phases of the project, particularly related to the demolition and stabilization of existing structures.
The result was a successfully revitalized site, a truly remarkable transformation into a well-planned, integrated community. This project exemplifies Van Cleef’s proficiency in handling large-scale, multi-faceted developments while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency at every step.
